The time table and schedule for the matriculation examinations 2015 held by SEBA is now out.

Laptop Technical Specifications for Anundoram Borooah Awards 2014

Thousands of laptops were distributed on 24th and 25th of this month among the 1st Division Holders (Kamrup (M) district) of the HSLC/AHM and other examinations held by SEBA (Assam) as per the Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme.

Anundoram Borooah Awards (for Kamrup M.) - Laptop Distribution on 24th and 25th

Previous day (23rd of December, 2014) the ceremonial function for Anundoram Borooah Awards 2014 was held and laptops were distributed among the top rank holders of the HSLC/AHM etc.

This year the number of students securing 1st Division in Assam surpassed all the previous figures, this time 40,999 students secured 1st Division in the HSLC/AHM examination, and around 3 thousand students are from the Kamprup District to whom the Laptops will be distributed on the 24th and 25th of December.

The board would have distributed the laptops in the ceremonial function but due to the huge number of students it wasn't practical and may have caused inconvenience to the students as well as the authorities, so the distribution will be done on 24th and 25th.

The students may have received a form and a booklet where the venue and the counter number where they will get their laptops are mentioned, so do read that.

Venue: Tarunram Phukan Indoor Stadium, B. Barua Road, Gandhi Basti, Guwahati, Assam.

1st Division Holders (Kamrup District) to get HSLC Anundroram B. Awards on 23rd December

The Assam Tribune published the dates of the Anundoram Borooah Awards presentation for the HSLC/AHM final examination for 2014.

All the 1st Division holders (Kamrup District) in the aforementioned examinations will receive the awards on 23rd of December 2014. The Central CceremonialDistribution function shall be held on 23rd of December, 2014 at 11am at the Veterinary College Playground in Khanapara, Guwahati.

The invitations card have been dispatched to the respective High School/AHM. For more details you can get in touch with AMTRON at 0361-2724221.

News for the distribution of laptops to the rank holders were published the previous day.

HSLC 2014 Awards To Be Presented to Rank Holders on 23rd December

After the news about the HSLC Awards or Anundoram Borooah Awards Scheme that is presented to the students of HSLC/AHM who pass the matriculation with more than 50% marks, the news about the of the Central Ceremonial Function is out.

The time-table for the 2015 HSLC examinations by SEBA board is yet to be announced.

The exact dates aren't given yet. The time-table will be updated as soon as the exact dates are announced.

Anundoram Barooah Awards for 2014 SEBA/AHM HSLC Students in December

The students all over Assam who secured 1st and 2nd Division were waiting eagerly for the Anundoram Barooah Awards, held every year to distribute laptops to those students.

But unlike the other years, this year, 2014, a little delay and no News about the awards kind of disappointed the students. But finally we have got a news about it! The awards will be distributed in December this year to all the SEBA/AHM students who secured 1st and 2nd Division in the HSLC examination.

(SEBA) HSLC 2014 Awards Distribution Assam - An Appeal to the Chief Minister

"The Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme is an initiative of Government of Assam, which rewards meritorious students of Assam. The award was instituted in the honour of Anundoram Borooah, the 1st Assamese ICS and the 1st Indian Deputy Commissioner. Eligible students are those who secured First Division in the HSLC, Assam High Madrassa and Senior Madrassa Examinations."


UPDATE: The Awards will finally be given in December this year.

The awards scheme was successfully executed from 2005 to 2013, but this year no News about the Laptop and cheque Distribution to the students securing more than 50% in the HSLC, AHM and/or SME examinations were out.

The students are still questioning when they will be awarded but there has been no official announcement on the matter.

Labrador Retriever Left to Die Saved by Two Teenagers

Thursday, 3rd July, a Labrador Retriever dog was found in very bad condition in a colony near Shuttle Gate, Maligaon. The identity of the dog is unknown, but locals believe that the dog has been abandoned by its owner as it's a well-bred dog.

The local people showed no responsibility in giving it a medical treatment or even just evacuate it to a safe and hygienic place. The dog was residing in a swamp area where it could hide from human, as the dog appears to be brutally tortured by some people.

Two Young Men Rescues the Dog

Later the two young men, Gulshan Kumar and Sunil Basfore, found out about the condition of the dog and soon reached there to help them. Whereas the other people ignored the dog for it not being their responsibility to rescue it, the two young animal lovers started their mission of rescuing the poor dog and medicate it.

They found the telephone numbers of Animal Welfare Organization in Guwahati and contacted them for help in rescuing the dog, but the receiver simply refused by giving the excuse that their vehicle driver was off-duty and they can't do anything right now.


After getting the poor response from the responsible organizations they took it in their own hands and evacuated the dog to a relatively safer place where they could give it a medical treatment. They went to a veterinary store for the medicines, the vet after hearing about their noble deed gave them the medicine for the dog's treatment free of cost.

UPDATE 7th July 2014: The dog died because of a very serious condition and the lack of proper medication.

Irresponsible Govt. and Non Government organizations showed no response!

Animals condition here in Guwahati is pretty bad, animals like stray dogs, cows, goats and many others are treated cruelly and there's no organization taking actions against it. If you kill an animal here in Guwahati (or anywhere in India) there will be no one standing-up for animals right. It is illegal, but only in the papers, not applied at all! 

The government must set up a better animal welfare organization and should start giving it equal importance like any other orgs. for the welfare of human.  

Folder View Settings are not Saved in Windows 8, 7 or XP

I love to personalize my PC and most importantly how all my folders are managed and sorted. Windows does provide great options for folder view settings in all its Window versions.

What if it doesn't save your preferences? Well, I face the problem and managed to fix it.
